Review – Quarterback Sneak

Synopsis

Standing on the precipice of greatness, that’s how it felt to be Holden Moore. Captain & Quarterback of the Northern Boston University Football team. Coming off a bowl game loss after an incredible season Holden is sure that everything he wants is just ahead – a championship title, graduation & being drafted into the NFL. After a lifetime full of loss he was so sure that it was all wins from here. Until his coach announced after the game that he was leaving. Now he had to go into a year that was supposed to be his winning year with all new rules. After losing his dad, sister & mom in his early teens Holden has focused on nothing but football. But when his new coach walks into spring camp suddenly he has another focus, the coach’s very off limits daughter, Julep Lee. Julep is just trying to get by. Changing colleges junior year to follow her dad was just the new start she needed to get her head above water. Losing her sister had wrecked her family but most of all it had wrecked Julep. She was just a hollow shell with a few things keeping her going – her dad, her sports medicine studies & pole dancing. Not the hobby most girls her age have but Julep has used that shiny metal anchor as a way to stay out of her own head. Focused on routines & practices has kept her from wasting away. When Holden is injured midseason it’s Julep’s job to help with his rehab. While he fathers warning to stay away from all the players is still ringing in her ears she can’t seem to help herself when it comes to Holden Moore. The two begin seeing more & more of eachother & even though it’s very against the rules they just can’t stay away from eachother. They both recognize the others broken parts & bring eachother joy neither has found in so long. It could either be exactly what they both need to heal or it could blow up everything. Only one way to find out.

Story: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – 5 Stars
This story was so perfect. College romances aren’t usually my thing but these characters were just perfect. Both of their heart breaking stories were so well written. I felt like I was right there with Julep while she felt like a monster & right there with Holden when he felt like he wasn’t enough. I loved their journey together. Total us against the world vibes. Honestly, I was also so glad we didn’t get a pregnancy trope. I was real nervous when they went without protection at the beginning. 🤣😳 My heart was going a zillion miles an hour during the third act though. I was a mess. 🤣 but their ending was so well deserved. When Holden stood up for them *swoon* – we love a man who fights for his girl. 😍

We love a dual POV book. This one was flawless. Holden’s POV was so so good. I absolutely loved his calm demeanor on the outside while we got to hear his internal battles. My heart almost couldn’t take the angst during the buildup. His heart was so beautiful & I could feel his breaking point with Julep. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Julep at first but she grew on me. This story was well paced. I read this one in a day. Actually I read all three of these books in just under 48 hours. I loved every second.

Spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 – 4 Flames
Jesus Christ Holden Moore. I’m serious when I say this man was top notch spicy. The way he taunted & teased Julep made me breathe harder. 🥵🥵🥵 I’m pretty sure Julep is one of the luckiest fictional women ever. 🤣🤣 I loved their buildup. My favorite scene was the swimming pool at an away game. You’ll thank me when you read this.

I loved this book. Holden Moore was so hot. Julep was so harsh but when I got to her being vulnerable with Holden I completely melted for them. I felt like cheering at the end when he stands up for them & risks everything. This book has easily made my top 5 sports romances. It’s rare for me to read a sports romance that isn’t hockey but this one was top notch. I loved how the author seamlessly switched POV & gave us a range of emotions for both characters. This is a definite recommendation from me. I need you to read this whole series & then comment & tell me your favorite parts!
