Review – King of Wrath

Synopsis

Blackmailed. Dante Russo is a rich & powerful man, one that most people fear to anger & yet here is Mr Lau, blackmailing him. Marry Lau’s daughter or his brothers indiscretions with a mafia princess make their way to the mafia family. They both knew what it meant – marry the daughter or his brother dies & to Dante that was no choice at all. So he did exactly as Mr Lau wanted – arranged the engagement & moved Vivian into his apartment. He now had a year to destroy the evidence Mr Lau had, take down the old man’s business & break off the engagement. Easy enough to do when you’re a detached, angry billionaire. What he didn’t count on was Vivian being his undoing. Will their love be able to eclipse the wrath Dante has unleashed or will they just burn away in the aftermath?

Break It Down

Story: – 5 Stars
I don’t think this story could have hit any more buttons for me. Enemies to Lovers. Grumpy/Sunshine. Forced Proximity. Gahh so good. This story was so engaging I literally read it in a day. Dante was hot AF. I loved his jealous growls & vulnerable heart. I loved Vivian’s story. Her breaking out from under her dad was so well written. I felt like I was in the room the tension was so thick. The ending was amazing. I adore a swoon worthy epilogue & this one was magical.

This book had a lot of content. There were quite a few characters to keep straight. Ana did an amazing job keeping the pace moving. The time jumps were seamless & we got to experience all the big moments first hand instead of reading about it when it had already happened. I was so engrossed in the story I almost wished it hadn’t been so well written bc I really wanted to know how things were going to play out but it was too good & I couldn’t skim anything LOL

Spice: – 4 Flames
Lord Dante Russo y’all. The man is hot as fuck. The way he controls every moment even when he gives the actual control to Vivian had me all riled up. The freaking library scene All the yes. Detailed & definitely not one to read closed door. The spice is excellent.

Overall: – 5 Stars
I loved this. honestly I knew like halfway in this would be a 5 star read for me. The spicy scenes are perfection. The author wrote the perfect enemies to lovers vibe. & bonus – forced proximity my favorite. The subtle grumpy/sunshine moments were good too. Seriously this was such a good one. A definitely must read.
