Quick Note –
Okay, so how it works when I do reviews is that I like to give a “quick look” approach before the main info. I’ll give you a few categories and how they rank & then go into details below so you can see quickly if I liked it. Sometimes there will be a spoiler section so keep an eye out.
How It Works:
I have four components for a book review. I want to know about the story – what tropes, HEA, what I loved or what I hated. The content – does it have a dual POV, or bad editing, spelling errors, in general bad writing etc. {I get low level rage when people give a book 2 stars bc of bad editing but the story is amazing. I’ll overlook some spelling errors for a dual POV, slow burn, HEA okay? I just will.}. I also want to know if I’m getting into a spicy book or some off page romance so the spice level must be ranked. Additionally, I think it’s important to have an overall score – it isn’t based on anything but my opinion but I think it’s vital none the less. So these will be in the quick look.

- Overall – rated on 1-5 โจ stars
After this “quick look” I’ll give you a quick synopsis & then my detailed opinion so you can see how I feel. My synopsis is not going to include the ending or any twists so think of it more like an extended version of the back blurb on a book rather than a book report. Sometimes I will have a spoiler section but it will be well marked so you don’t accidentally get it ruined. People who ruin endings with no warning (*cough half of amazon reviews*) should have a special place in the afterlife that is very unpleasant.
