Review – Happenstance

Synopsis

Being the sandwich girl at the Times was not Elise’s career plan but that’s okay, it’s just her foot in the door. She’s pretty sure this story she stumbled into with the Assistant Mayor & a local Union Boss conspiring against the current Mayor of New York is going to be just the ticket to land a journalist position at the newspaper. But after a sketchy escape from being caught following the suspects she finds herself trapped in a tram car with three men when the tram breaks down. These three men have a magnetism she wasn’t expecting. Who knew just a few minutes in the broken down tram would change the trajectory of her entire life? Now not only is she wrapped up in a dangerous scandal she’s also wrapped up in the arms of three men. Three men who are wildly different but have one purpose – worshipping Elise. Can she somehow overcome all her commitment issues to commit herself to these three men & a career in journalism or will the danger & fear keep her from all her future could hold?

Story: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 – 4 Stars
I fcking love a reverse harem story. Who doesn’t want three hot men at your beck & call? Duh. Tessa did an awesome job writing their perspectives. I LOVED all three men. Banks with his in control & steady personality, Tobias with his smirk & sexual innuendos but also his vulnerable heart but really Gabe was my favorite. His sweet nature & protective heart freaking melted me. I loved that unlike most harem stories it was new to all four of them. The only thing I didn’t like was that the whole story is like a week long. I wanted more time with them. The insta-love was hot though. & the epilogue was dreamy. It was the perfect ending.

I devoured this book. Woke up early to buy it & read it before noon. It was well written & it kept me engaged the whole time. I loved how fast paced it was too. No lags or lulls. It was so fun to read. My favorite part was that it was written with all four POVs. 😍😍

🥵🥵🥵 holy fck you guys. The spice in this one is so good. I mean, you knew it would be coming from Tessa. I was glad that even though she doesn’t normally write harem stories that she did it justice in the sexy scenes. Three men with one woman is controlled chaos & I loved how each of Elise’s men had a different sexual appetite & style. It had me very hot & bothered in the best way.

I loved this. I had so much fun reading it. It had me laughing out loud several times. I was completely engrossed in the story & twists at the end. The characters in this one were my favorite part. All three men were so well done. I loved that we got background stories on all three & that everyone had something to overcome. I always love Tessa Bailey books & this one did not disappoint.
