Synopsis
Being a nanny for the summer wasnโt Willa Grantโs original plan. She was just going to continue working in her brotherโs bar & hanging out in the city. But then her best friend Summer calls with an opportunity to spend more time with her & now here she is at Wishing Well Ranch moving in with grumpy Cade Eaton & his darling son Luke for the summer. She expected some fun games & avoiding Cade for a few months. Especially after their awkward first run in where she left him standing with her underwear in a coffee shop. Instead she finds herself unable to stay away from the sexy rancher. Heโs got a backwards ball cap & a filthy mouth & Willa finds she really doesnโt want to anywhere but with him. Cade Eaton has been burned too deeply to want to try a relationship again. Especially not with his new nanny. Yet he seems unable to stop himself. Her copper hair, sassy attitude & the way she cares for his son just keep unlocking parts of Cade he thought he had successfully buried. Now it seems heโs going to have to let go of the past so he can have the future & family Cade (& Luke) have always wanted.

Who doesnโt love an age gap story? Cade is 38 & Willa is 25. It isnโt played up a lot โ just enough. Itโs also a fall in love with the nanny trope so we get Luke, the absolutely adorable son of the single dad. Major props to Elsie here because she did an amazing job with the Luke & Willa storyline. Willa is one of my favorite FMCโs of this year. She is amazing. I adored her. Truly though, Daddy Cade is the star of the show. He is perfection. Just the right amount of southern gentleman & dirty talking country boy. Absolute perfection. It was all the best tropes โ grumpy/sunshine, age gap, forced proximity, sheโs the nanny, small town & close family. A Perfect Storm.

The dual POV was flawless. It switched back & forth so well. Sometimes hopping between two characters can feel a bit like a tennis match but Elsie managed to make it happen right when you were ready for it. She also did a fabulous job tying in the characters from the previous book in the series & also setting up the next one. I really liked how this one was edited & how the story kept moving forward. It didnโt drag anything out or speed through anything.

Friends, this manโs mouth. Gawwwwd. The chemistry & tension in this were so damn good. Cade Eaton yโall has easily become Top 5 for me. The way he spoke during their sexy moments was pure gold. Just top notch. Yum. The birthday party interlude! The hot tub! Ugh so so many good moments. & no repeats. Perfection. 10/10

This book hit all the buttons for me. Sexy as hell male lead with a dirty mouth, a sassy, independent female lead & a bonus cute AF kid. To be fair, a man with a backwards baseball cap pretty much always gets me. (I grew up in the south ) but Daddy Cade was just male specimen perfection. && Willa!! Total ride or die for me. She was so freaking funny. This book made me laugh, squirm, pant a bit & fly through the pages. Definitely a 5 star read to me.

The first book in this series, Flawless, was my first book by Elsie Silver. Rhett, the MMC was the first time I can ever remember being into a cowboy & after that book I was so ready for grumpy Cade Eaton. He did not disappoint. The first chapter of the next book is at the end of this one & I cannot wait for that to come out. I have really enjoyed this series so far & Iโll definitely be adding Elsie Silverโs debut series to my TBR list. (Iโll make sure to post a bookstagram story when I star reading!) Seriously though, this was a stellar book & you should read it. Hopefully Iโll have more reviews of Elsieโs books up soon. I am really looking forward to reading more!
[โฆ] & Rhys are probably tied for fourth. Honorable mention to Zade Meadows, Pike Lawson & Daddy Cade Eaton. I just find that when I think of the men in books I go back to again & again โ it always [โฆ]
