Synopsis
Think modern day, sassy, foul mouthed Princess Diaries. It’s awesome. Basically, there is a country in Europe (think small scandanavian county) that has a monarchy that is dying. King Theo & his wife Katla have had four children but none are eligible to take the throne. The King sends his private secretary & head of security to good ol’ Miami Beach to find his only heir, his grand daughter Lilly. She is everything you’re hoping she’ll be – a bikini truck owner & wet t-shirt contest host with piercings. She lost her parents in her teens & is so desperate to find that connection she follows King Theo’s wishes & travels to her mother’s homeland of Torskethorpe. Now, this when the story gets fun. The King’s private secretary, Keller, is tasked with teaching Lilly to be royal but because of some unforeseen issues they end up at a run down castle far from the picturesque scene promised. Lilly & Keller find themselves at each other’s throats while dealing with a whole slue of self doubt, betrayal, sexual tension & maddening expectations.
All while falling in love.
Break It Down
Story: ๐๐๐๐ – 4.5 Stars
This was a fun modern twist on a story every girl secretly wishes had happened to her. The book is written in dual POV & It’s all my favorites – enemies to lovers, forced proximity & a happy ending. It has good in depth development of our main characters. I would have liked a little more development of the side characters but what we got was enough to move forward the story nicely.

Meghan Quinn never fails to disappoint. The book is mostly alternating chapters that are not too long. It is well written & edited. No errors or writing styles that bothered me. It flowed easily & made for a quick fun read.
Spice Level: ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ – 5 Stars
…there’s a lot to unpack here but in order to not spoil this for you – let’s just say it covers all the bases, doors & fantasies. I love a good 5๐ฅ book so this was a big hit for me.

Excellent. This book is just excellent. Fun story, good characters, great ending, good conflict & sexy as hell. This is definitely worth the read. Highly Recommend.
