Synopsis
Standing in a church basement in her wedding gown fighting cold feet Naomi Witts gets a text from her troubled twin sister that says she needs help; already on the fence Naomi takes the out & becomes a runaway bride. Only she gets to a small town in Virginia to discover her sister has pissed off everyone in town, stolen her car & left her with an 11yr old niece she hadn’t even known existed! After Knox, local hunky bar owner/barber, realized Naomi isn’t her sister – he feels drawn to protect her from all the crazy bad situations Naomi’s twin has put her in. Knox gets her a job, a place to stay & quite by accident ends up in a fake dating scheme to help Naomi convince everyone she can handle being the guardian of an 11yr old girl. Things go from fake to real between the two & life just keeps coming with curve balls until Knox has to decide – is he in for it all or should he walk away from his two favorite girls? Hopefully he makes the right call….eventually.
Break It Down
Story – ๐๐๐๐ 4.5 Stars
This book had a little of everything I love, small town, grumpy/sunshine, hot boss, single parent, enemies to lovers, happily ever after with good side characters. I really enjoyed that we got enough side character development that they felt like we could have a spin off for them but not too much that you would be disappointed if you didn’t. This book also had an extended epilogue which is always a big hit for me. I love getting that extra peak at their happily ever after.

Lucy Score really hit it out of the park with this dual POV with a good forward moving story arc & unique twists I thoroughly enjoyed. It was nicely edited & had good medium length chapters which made it easy to read quickly but also gave you plenty of places to put it down if you needed to (I did not – I totally read it as an afternoon straight through kind of book haha.)

Very well done. It had good detailed scenes without dragging on with too many words. I also enjoyed that we didn’t get a bunch of repeat action LOL

Excellent. Four Stars. Absolutely loved the story. Totally lowkey obsessed with Knox & his overprotective alpha growls. I also loved that the story involved both the main characters overcoming issues instead of it being heavily one sided.
This book was all over my bookstagram stories & feed.
It took me awhile to put it on my TBR & even longer to get to it but I am so glad I did. I would definitely recommend this book to all romance lovers. It really had so many things to enjoy. Check out my review index for more romance reads.
Just saw that there is going to be a second book for this! I love a good series & I cannot wait to enjoy more of the characters in Knockemout! Looks like next up we get Knox’s brother – a hunky policeman story sounds perfect. Can’t wait to read all about Nash, Lina & the rest of our small town crew!
